“…The fresh smell of pine needles reminded her of her adventures in the wild with her wood-mouse friends and the cosy glow of the lights made her feel toasty warm inside. And oh! The food! Mim began to smile to herself as she remembered finding crumbs of cheese, walnuts and cranberries to feast upon. Yes, Mim thought to herself, this was what the humans called ‘Christmas’.”

Mim the Mouse is the cleverest little mouse you will ever meet. Although her house looks just like a chewed-up hole in the skirting board in a dusty corner of a human’s house, on the inside, she has made it the most cosy and beautiful miniature home anymouse could ask for.

One cold, December morning, Mim wakes up to the sound of jingling bells and is reminded of a yearly celebration in the human world where the colours are enchanting, the smell of food delicious and kindness and friendship seemingly unbounded. Mim decides to take part in celebrating Christmas in her own way but to do so, she has to borrow a few things from the human world.
