Happy New Year, lovely readers – I can only apologise for such a lengthy absence – due to moving house and the extremely busy and chaotic nature of my job as a teacher (to name just a few things!) I simply fell off the writing-wagon! Therefore, it stands to reason that I’ve also been absolutely rubbish at promoting my recently released book so I’d better make a start…

I am beyond thrilled to share the second story in The Adventures of Mim the Mouse series, ‘Mim the Mouse & A Friend In Need’. Here, we delve into the enchanting world of Mim, who some of you will already know to be a very clever and resourceful little mouse who lives in the cosy confines of her miniature home behind a dusty skirting board. Our story begins on a hot summer’s day when Mim embarks on an adventure into the woods. Little does she know that this journey will lead her to a fateful encounter with Morris, a wood-mouse with a distinctly wild charm.
Mim, lost in happy memories of her youth, stumbles and injures her paw. As worry sets in, a whiskered hero scurries her way – Morris, the wood-mouse. Unlike Mim, Morris thrives under the leafy canopy of the woods, foraging for berries and mushrooms, enduring all kinds of weather and wild animals. As the story unfolds, Morris’s knowledge of herbs and flowers becomes pivotal in aiding Mim. Together, they navigate the woods, facing a storm, a rushing river and even the looming threat of a monstrous owl.

Without revealing too much of the plot, ‘Mim the Mouse & A Friend In Need‘ explores the themes of camaraderie, kindness, and the importance of having a place to call home. It is my hope that readers of all ages will be captivated by the charming adventures of Mim and Morris, finding joy and inspiration in their heart-warming tale.
